SUNSHINE RENOVATION

The objective for this project was to revamp this 1960’s home into a stylish Hampton’s aesthetic. Using fresh white tones, marble tiles and blue accents the overall aim was to create a relaxed yet functional environment for a growing young family.

The kitchen is the large communal area in this home and the long C-shaped layout allows for maximum storage and bench space. With classic Hampton features such as the shaker style cabinetry, Belfast sink and chrome goose neck tap wear this room works as a perfect home cook’s kitchen. To complete the space a timeless navy striped roman blind works to give privacy and also break up the white in the room.

This Laundry/Bathroom is a multifunctional space which certainly adds some wow factor to the home. The pattern mosaic wall tiles are a great feature and makes a lasting first impression to anyone entering the room. While the white pressed metal splash back adds a subtle hint of elegance to the space.

Continuing with the white and blue colour tones the main bathroom definitely gives some extra character to this home with the addition of the encaustic floor tiles. Just like the kitchen, this room is fresh and bright and continues the Hamptons aesthetic. Herringbone tiles are featured again in this room and adds a sense of luxe, while the large white rectangular tiles work as a neutral backdrop which allows the marble and the blue patterned floor tiles to shine.
